Workshops

As often as possible our students have classes with theatre professionals who either reside in our region who are flown up from southern states.

ZEN ZEN ZO

Leaders from the cast and organisation of Zen Zen Zo have flown to Cairns twice this year to work with our students. This physical style of theatre is wonderful expressive way for students to explore their body’s potential to tell a story to the audience. Kat and Simon have such a wealth of experience and are so willing to share their knowledge with young people. The teacher’s workshop in Brisbane is also a very worthwhile experience because of it’s depth and the time and detail given to explain each exercise.

GABBY MILLGATE

NQADA has been fortunate to meet Gabby and secure her to come in and give classes on comedy and improvisation games. Gabby is one of the leading comic writers and performers in Australia who has 15 years improvising under her belt and was winner of the 2004 Theatre Sports Celebrity Challenge.
